Mr. David Bauman is currently secretary of the board of trustees. He has been on the board for two years, first finishing another person’s term, then being elected in November of 2022 for a four-year term.
Mr. Bauman has been a lifelong resident of Johnson County, having graduated from Indian Creek High School. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue University and his Master’s Degree from I.U., primarily taking classes at IUPUI. He began his teaching career at Clark-Pleasant Jr. High and taught math at Edinburgh for his final 35 years. He enjoyed several years of assisting coaching football and baseball.
Mr. Bauman and his wife, Karen, are parents of two grown and married sons (Kyle, Julia, Ben, and Amanda) and grandparents of two boys (Levi and Caleb). Karen, Kyle, and Ben are all Edinburgh graduates.
Mr. Bauman has been active in Union Christian Church his entire life. In retirement, he enjoys volunteering, primarily at the Edinburgh Food Pantry, gardening and taking care of the yard, and occasionally fishing.
