Bio
Mr. Curtis Rooks was elected to the Edinburgh Community School Board and started his current term in January 2021. Curtis has served as a Board member since 2017. Mr. Rooks is an Edinburgh Community High School graduate (Class of 1978). His wife Miriam is also an Edinburgh Alum (Class of 1977). Their daughter and 3 grandchildren have all graduated from or are currently attending Edinburgh.
After graduating from Edinburgh Schools, Mr. Rooks entered the workforce where he eventually landed back at ECSC as the maintenance and transportation director for 29.5 years. Mr. Rooks also helped coach football for 4 years and golf for 2 years. He was on the Town Council for 7 years and was the Town of Edinburgh’s Street department supervisor for 4 years.
Mr. Rooks currently serves as facility and maintenance supervisor for the City of Franklin. He loves his community and is passionate about making ECSC the best it can be!
