Dear Lancer Alumni, fans, supporters and Edinburgh community members,

The Edinburgh Athletic Department is taking steps to create the “Edinburgh Athletic Hall of Fame.”   A committee has been formed (Ron Blotch, former AD; Tim Jordan, current AD;  Ron Streeval and Alice Taulman, school board members;  and Dick Hammond, Edinburgh resident) to take steps in creating benchmark accomplishments for individuals and teams for consideration to be inducted into the Hall.

The committee is asking the public for help in recognizing individuals from the past that may meet or exceed these benchmarks.   Benchmarks include, but are not limited to:

Initial Qualifications for consideration for inductees…

Individual Recognition benchmarks – Recognized after graduation with one plaque for accomplishments

(Individuals must meet at least one (1) or more of those listed below).

Although all-conference, school record holders, all-area and honorable mentions, etc. are important and may be included in the accomplishments of individuals inducted into the Hall, these sole accomplishments will not be a basis for consideration for induction into the Hall.   These particular accomplishments will be and are recognized in a different manner.

If you know of any individuals/teams that meet these qualifications, please make contact with any member of the committee listed above or make contact with the Athletic Office at 812-526-5501 x 2227.
